BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on Tuesday said that the ongoing debate on the no-confidence motion against the government in Lok Sabha is Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s attempt to set up her son and take care of her son-in-law.
Sonia is following the “traditional Indian woman’s way” of “bete ko set karna hai, damaad ko bhent karna hai”, alleged Dubey, speaking for the government during the debate.

“The PM [Narendra Modi] says that this is not a no-trust-vote, it is a trust in Opposition vote bank. They want to see who supports them,” he added.

Speaking on Rahul’s reinstatement as MP following the Supreme Court order staying his conviction in the Modi-surname defamation case, Dubey reminded the House that the apex court has not yet given judgment in the matter — only a stay order.
